01 / INFORMATION
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, profile image and account preferences. Password sign-ins use a stored password hash, rather than a plain-text password.
- Google sign-in: when you choose it, we receive your Google account identifier and basic profile information, such as your verified email, name and profile image. We do not receive your Google password.
- Learning profiles and tuition: students can provide their province, district, school and optional contact/bio details; we do not publish a student directory. Teachers provide teaching and contact details for their profiles and advertisements. Contact details explicitly included in an approved ad are public. NIC numbers are encrypted on the server; qualification documents and transfer receipts are privately stored and accessible to their owner and authorised administrators for review, not public download.
- Verification and payment records: private evidence is removed when the teacher account is deleted. Minimal anonymised transaction totals and administrative audit records may remain for accounting and dispute history. Contact us to request correction or deletion. Keep unnecessary personal information out of uploaded documents; a qualification document is required, not an NIC image.
- Your activity: signed-in download history, downloaded paper identifiers, visit/reward activity, XP and notifications. We also record paper download events and their times to understand library use.
- Information you submit: contact messages, paper requests, contribution details and uploaded files. Please avoid including personal details about yourself or others in documents intended for publication.
- Technical information: our hosting and connected services may process IP addresses, browser/device details, request times and security logs. Optional analytics may provide approximate country or city information; this is not a precise GPS location.
02 / PURPOSE
How we use your information
We use information to provide accounts and resources, keep download history, manage rewards and notifications, review contributions, answer messages and paper requests, protect the service and recover from technical problems.
If optional analytics is enabled and you allow it, we use reports to understand which resources are useful and improve the website. Advertising, if enabled, helps support the service. Reading this policy does not itself grant permission for optional cookies.
03 / BROWSER STORAGE
Cookies & local storage
PaperMaster uses browser storage to remember sign-in sessions, interface preferences such as light or dark mode, and your privacy choices. Connected services may also use cookies or similar technologies.
